Fraud Reminder:

BayPort will never call or email you asking for your confidential personal or account information, including debit or credit card numbers. Please review our Security Center for more information on keeping your information safe and secure.

Security Center

At BayPort, we take security very seriously, supplying secure banking environments and services designed to protect our members against breaches and fraudulent activity.

Protecting our cardholders.

BayPort uses a sophisticated software program that helps protect our members’ debit and credit cards from potential fraudulent transactions. Our fraud detection network monitors for potentially suspicious transactions or patterns on our cardholders’ accounts, including travel patterns.

If unusual activity is detected, our card processor will flag the account and may generate an alert. The Fraud Detection Center may contact you by phone to confirm the purchase in question.

Phone scams are on the rise.

The most important thing to remember is BayPort will never call and ask for your confidential information. Scammers often use a spoofing technique, which can make it appear that the call is coming from our organization when in reality, it is not. If you receive a call from BayPort but are unsure if it’s truly us, hang up and contact us immediately at (757) 928-8850.

Safeguard against fraud & identity theft.

Remember, we’ll never send emails asking you to provide, update, or verify account passwords, Social Security numbers, PINs, credit or debit card numbers, or other confidential information.
