What happens next?

Your PSFCU accounts have successfully transitioned to new BayPort accounts. You should have received your Welcome Packet the week of February 16, 2022 with important information about your account at BayPort, as well as your new account number. If you have not received your Welcome Packet with your new account number, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the branch location at 455 Dinwiddie St. in Portsmouth remain open?

This branch has relocated to 1241 Frederick Blvd. in Midtown Marketplace for more convenient access.

Where am I able to conduct transactions on my account?

You can make in-branch deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc., at any of our 27 BayPort locations.

BayPort is also part of CULIANCE and the CO-OP Shared Branch Network, providing you access to over 30,000 ATMs and 5,600 shared branch locations available for you to do a range of transactions at another credit union or ATM.

When will my account transition to BayPort?

Your account transition was complete on Monday, March 21, 2022.

Can I still access my account online or over the phone?

Access to PSFCU’s online banking was discontinued at 5:00 pm on March 18th. BayPort’s Online & Mobile Banking, STAR telephone banking system, and electronic bill payment services are now available. Access Online Banking or call (757) 928-8850 to access STAR  and use the last four digits of your Social Security number as a temporary login.

Will I lose access to my funds?

To access your funds, activate and begin using your BayPort debit card and checks March 21st or visit one of our 27 BayPort locations. PSFCU debit cards were deactivated March 21st at 11:00 am.

What about my direct deposits or automatic withdrawals?

Direct deposits, payroll deductions, and any other automatic deposits or withdrawals will continue without interruption.

How do I transition my account to BayPort?

Your account has been automatically converted to a BayPort account. The transition was completed on March 21, 2022.

Will the rates or terms on my current loans remain the same?

Yes, your loans have been transferred with no change to your current rate and terms.

How can I get a new loan or add an account?

You can apply for new loans, add accounts, and open additional services at any of our 27 BayPort locations, online, or by contacting us.

Is my money insured?

Yes, your accounts continue to be insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).

How do I make changes to my direct deposit or payroll deduction?

Please visit any of our 27 BayPort branches to make changes to your direct deposit or payroll deduction.

What about automatic deposits and withdrawals linked to my PSFCU debit card?

You will need to contact the originating company and provide your BayPort debit card information.

What will happen to scheduled Bill Pay payments?

Bill Pay through PSFCU Online Banking stopped processing payments on March 17, 2022. Any payments schedule after this date have been canceled. Log into BayPort’s Online Banking using the last four digits of your social security number as a temporary password and set up your billers within BayPort’s Bill Payment. You can then schedule your payments.
