Card Security

Get the security and flexibility you need in your busy life with BayPort's Mastercard® credit and debit cards allowing you to manage your money quickly and efficiently no matter where you venture.

There are a few services available online to help protect your online purchases when using your credit or debit card. While not all merchants use these features, it is still beneficial for the sites that do.

Credit Card Security

Our credit card program offers an enhanced security feature known as Fraud Alert Management (FAM).

What is FAM?

FAM is a neural network set up though our credit card processor, FIS, that tracks unusual activity on a cardholders account and evaluates levels of risk scores on transactions. The higher it is "scored" the higher the risk.

How does FAM work?

Verification processes used to notify cardholders of suspected unusual activity will include text messaging, automated phone messaging or an email if previous validation has not been successful. You will never be asked to verify your credit card account number however the last four of a cardholder's Social Security number may be used along with a ”Case Number" if responding to a voice message left by Fraud Alert Management. Calls to cardholders are placed between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 P.M. and Fraud Alert Management team is available 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Accounts are continually monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Traveling Tip: If you're traveling and using a BayPort credit or debit card we encourage you to submit a Travel Notification Form by contacting our Member Information Center or the Customer Service number located on the back of your card to notate your account in order to avoid the inconvenience of a block being placed do to unusual activity. Debit Card Security

BayPort provides a service known as eNFACT Security for our members with debit cards. You can even turn your debit card ON and OFF with Debit CardValet.

What is eNFACT?

eNFACT is a sophisticated software program that helps protect your debit card from fraudulent transactions. This is achieved through a neutral network set up through our debit card processor.

How does eNFACT work?

eNFACT will flag any suspicious transactions or patterns on your accounts and report them to BayPort Credit Union for investigation. If you receive a call or letter from our eNFACT Fraud Division, they'll ask you a few simple questions to verify whether the activity is fraudulent. This protection comes at no cost. It is another service we provide as part of our continuing efforts to help protect you from any fraudulent activity.
