Belinda is passionate about helping people manage their finances and is excited to share with you some tips. Coming into this country years ago, she quickly learned that there are opportunities out there, you just need the right resources and to ask the right questions. Her goal is to be that resource and help you achieve your goals.
Head Teller - Gloucester Branch
Comie has been with BayPort since 2005, starting out as a teller and climbing the line to Head Teller at the Gloucester Branch. Over the years he has gotten a great sense of what people are struggling with and learned that financial success begins early. With today’s technology and resources, it can be easier than ever to get on the right path. When he isn’t trying to save people from the monster of financial stress, he’s busy saving the world one video game at a time!
Rachel is one of BayPort’s super-talented Marketing Coordinators. This recent Hokie grad brings the perfect combination of brains and spunk that’s sure to make anyone drink the credit union kool-aid. Rachel is excited to share her past financial experiences as a “green” college student, as well as reveal her journey from student to working adult…which is actually happening right now.
Darin graduated from Liberty University in 2012. Since that time Darin has worked in several different fields including customer service, retail, culinary, and finance. Darin hopes to use this experience to benefit the financial outlook of those around him. When he is not blogging, he enjoys time spent at home with his wife, Ashley, and his hedgehog.
Branch Manager - Big Bethel Branch
Jo joined the BayPort team in September 2014 when BayPort merged with Hampton Roads Postal Credit Union, where she had been for 16 years. She takes pride in ensuring members are greeted with a friendly smile and a sincere welcome. With her long career in banking, she has seen and experienced the ups and downs of achieving a successful financial future. With knowledge and a little hard work, she has helped herself and countless others to get out of debt and actually have a savings account with money in it!
Digital Marketing Coordinator
Elsy has worked in financial institutions for over 6 years. She has experience in working with members to help increase their financial well-being. Within the credit union, she enjoys watching her peers and younger generations prioritize savings and thinking of their financial futures. One of her biggest goals is to ensure her toddler son grows up to be a smart saver!
Community Involvement Coordinator
Rita serves as BayPort’s Community Involvement Coordinator and loves promoting the credit union’s philosophy of “People Helping People.” Rita takes pride in working for an organization that allows its staff the opportunity for personal involvement with numerous charities in the Hampton Roads area. In addition, Rita enjoys implementing creative fundraisers that bring communities together while reaching mutual goals.
Chairman of the Board
Suzanne is dedicated to Education and Financial Literacy. She serves on multiple university and non-profit boards, and is also busily exploring the world beyond work. Recently retired from a terrific shipbuilding career, she is happy to share her experiences with others. Her motto: “I’m not retired. I’m just getting started!”.
Branch Manager - 37th St Branch
Growing up in Hampton Roads in a “shipyard” family (three generations), Paul understands his members’ financial needs. Paul’s faith and love for running drives him to help his members be good stewards of their finances by using a long-term, marathon-like approach. When he’s not at the credit union, you can find Paul spending time with his wife and two children, his church family, or out for a nice long run. Don’t expect any get-rich-quick posts from him! Building wealth takes time and persistence!
Tiffany is a Marketing Specialist for BayPort. She has been serving up deliciously creative campaigns for over 16 years at local area credit unions. She loves letting her community members know how awesome banking with a credit union is and has even chaired a state-wide credit union awareness campaign in Virginia to share the love. After all, Virginia is for lovers…credit union lovers that is.
Assistant Branch Manager - Smithfield Branch
Deborah has worked in finance for over twenty five years. The one thing that she recognizes is that everyone shares the same objective, and that is “peace of mind.” She thoroughly enjoys discovering what peace of mind means to each individual member, and is committed to helping them reach their goals. After all, it’s what BayPort does best, each and every day!
