March 17 – Community Health Fair
Join us at the Smithfield YMCA for the second Annual Community Health Fair sponsored by the YMCA and Mt. Tabor Church. Francine Holloman, our Smithfield Branch Manager, will be there handing out free giveaways and answer your questions on improving your financial health.
March 29 – 2017 Youth Career Expo
The VA Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the Peninsula Council for Workforce Development and The Greater VA Peninsula School Divisions facilitate an expo to educate students about the variety of career opportunities in the region and the skills needed to acquire those jobs. Several of our staff will be represented in multiple areas of expertise through reality fair simulations with over 2,000 area high school students expected to participate.
Our role is a lot of fun for our staff and the kids. We will run multiple Reality Fairs, Financial Football games, as well as conduct mock interviews.
