What is Householding?

A household is defined as any BayPort members living at the same physical address that corresponds to the Credit Union's address of record. It's the responsibility of the member to notify the credit union of any and all address changes. To take advantage of Relationship Householding, you must complete an Opt-In form listing all accounts to be included in your Household Relationship, signed by each account holder.

"Householding" your accounts will not allow non-joint account holders access to your account.

What information will I need for householding?

• Obtain a household authorization form (click to print)

• Account numbers and signatures of members included in your "household"

Householding Examples:

Households That DO Qualify:
All the following members live at the same address and have at least $5.00 in their regular Savings Account:
Dad - Checking w/ Direct Deposit, eBranch, eStatements, $50,000 mortgage
Mom - Checking, $20,000 share certificate
Son - $5,000 Fast Start Savings

If they sign up to "household" their accounts, all members will qualify for Premier because Dad is a Premier member.

Households That DO NOT Qualify:
All the following members live at the same address and have at least $5.00 in their regular Savings Account:

Dad - Checking

Mom - Checking, $15,000 auto loan, eBranch

Son - $5,000 Fast Start Savings with direct deposit

All will be Classic members because no individual qualifies for a higher level on their own.
